Do you know what would happen if you took all the money and wealth in the world and distributed it evenly? In a year to three years the money and wealth would begin to go back to the same place from where it came. Do you know why? Because, being rich, being wealthy, or being poor, has less to do with who you are, where you're from, or even how hard you work. What mostly determines your financial status is how much you think; are you coming up with valuable ideas, or are you helping to further someone else’s idea/dream.

Take a second and think about how this world is set up. The people who do not come up with ideas, or who do not invest in their own creativity, usually end up working for the people who do. There is honestly nothing wrong...

I know the title of this blog is going to trigger an emotion in anyone who sees it, so, while I have your curiosity let's get into what this blog post is about. If you do not know that the majority of people in this country are White (Caucasian) then you’ve been living under a rock, or you've been trapped in your hood for too long. While census data shows that the population in the United States of America is going through a serious tanning process, we are still a couple of generations away from the majority of people in this country being Brown.

The independent music business has changed my life for the better; financially, personally, and professionally. I could write forever about the great things that the independent music business has afforded me and my family, but I'm sure my readers would rather learn about how their independent music hustle can help to improve their lives. Hi, and welcome to my website/blog. My name is Abdel "Sosa" Russell. I'm a naturalized citizen of this great country called the United States of America, I'm a second generation immigrant who was raised in Brooklyn, NY, and, I used to run an independent record label alongside many other businesses within the entertainment industry.

I'm currently a registered business mentor for New York state, an Author, a silent partner in numerous businesses, an investor in intellectual property (music), and I'm also a stay at home Dad/Husband who struggles to keep up with the ever demanding role of a 'male' homemaker and entrepreneur. During my life I've grown to appreciate many things about this country, and at the same time I've also scratched my h...

"In America, your potential is as limitless as your imagination".

I did not grow up rich or privelidged, in fact, the odds were stacked high against me: a young Black boy growing up in Brooklyn, NY, in a single parent household, moving many times, father in Prison, my childhood was definitely not ordinary by any standard . Although the theme of my story is very common for many people in Brooklyn that look like me, my experience is unique, and I never used my setbacks as a crutch; neither should you or anyone else.
