Do you know what would happen if you took all the money and wealth in the world and distributed it evenly? In a year to three years the money and wealth would begin to go back to the same place from where it came. Do you know why? Because, being rich, being wealthy, or being poor, has less to do with who you are, where you're from, or even how hard you work. What mostly determines your financial status is how much you think; are you coming up with valuable ideas, or are you helping to further someone else’s idea/dream.
Take a second and think about how this world is set up. The people who do not come up with ideas, or who do not invest in their own creativity, usually end up working for the people who do. There is honestly nothing wrong with being employed, but in today’s economical climate some people are working two to three jobs just to make ends meet; and it’s only going to get worse.
If you do not follow your passion, or chase your dream, it’s a guarantee that you will end up helping someone else build his or her dream. This is what separates the rich from the poor. The rich continue to spend time thinking of new ways to earn, while the poor continue to be, “hard workers”, and also continue to be ignorant to all the accessible wealth within our country. The book “Lazy Money – The Poor Man’s Achilles Heel” talks about this scenario in more detail.
What will help change the financial disparity of the world (and our country) is knowledge. When I say knowledge, I am not talking about social studies, algebra, or science. The knowledge that I am writing about is financial knowledge. Our current educational system was set up to create (and expand) the working class; if you do not believe me do some research. Unfortunately, this useless and prehistoric educational system is not equipping our population with the skills and knowledge it needs to keep up with the advancement of technology, and it is also keeping most of us ignorant to the abundant wealth that exists in this great country, and the world.
I am not sure if the politicians who promoted the idea of “spreading the wealth” really thought it through. At its core the idea sucks. Changing our tax laws so it is fairer to the working class makes a lot more sense. Our country needs to do a better job when it comes to equipping ‘all’ of its people with sound financial knowledge.
If the majority of our citizens had proper knowledge on how to manage their finances and how to attain and grow wealth, there would not be another country on this earth that could match us. Let’s change our current educational system so we can truly Make America Great Again, by teaching the upcoming generations sound financial knowledge.
